Pre-coding Brainstorm

Before I enter into coding, I am looking back on my post interview notes, my post observation notes, and thinking about what I remember from the content of my data. I'm also thinking some about the conceptual areas that I identified in my literature review. I am not referencing it directly at this time, however, because I wish to allow these codes and their definitions to be grounded in the data. Some possibilities:

Engagement: focus on student engagement
Group planning: teacher planning with others
Planning time: when and where
Teacher-created online environment
Teacher online research
Use of past success/failure
Feedback
Content Specific
Online tools
Traditional tasks / activities
Experience
Multiple inputs: during pre-planning
Multiple inputs: during class
Improvisation
Connection to real world
Student sharing
Equity
Setting norms
Student voice/control

I'm sure that many more will come up, but I wanted to catch these before really engaging with the process.
